Youth Ministry

Dear Sisters and Brothers of the Parish,

The Church recalls St. Angela, founder of the Ursulines, women who since 1535 have been teaching needy chidren to be good Christians. In a letter she quotes Jesus: A good tree cannot bear bad fruit.
As I appeal to you to support Youth Ministry at the Cathedral, I simply ask you to look carefully at the brochure that came with a letter to your homes. These are good young boy and girls; they are learning how to be disciples to our times and this community of Erie. They're good becaue thay have good parents and homes, a good school, good leadership, and many chances we ourselves never had. Ours was a more stable world to grow up in. Their's is volatile and dangerous.
Please help us to keep our Youth Ministry vital and growing. It includes children from second grade through high school.
Because our funding Cathedral Center School is a major expense, the monies needed for Youth Ministry are only partly funded by the parish budget. The balance is made up from activities and fundraising like out Adopt A Youth initiative. That's where you come in.
These children and young adults are our future Church. Please support them as they learn to be disciples who reach out to others in the Name of Jesus and in our name. Your gift will truly be appreciated and allow their good works to be our own heritage.

Peace to You

Msgr. William E. Biebel
