Spiritual Formation
Respect Life sponsors prayer opportunities for the parish, bulletin inserts, Mother's Day Carnation Sale, and collections of baby products twice a year for the parish food pantry and Catholic Charities.
Secular Franciscan Order was established by St. Francis of Assisi. Members do not live in community, rather, they live their everyday lives in the world. Members gather together in fraternity on the first Tuesday of each month in Synod Hall. Members make a promise to follow the Rule of Life approved by the Church when they make their profession.
Lending Library is in Synod Hall. There are a variety of books, videos, and tapes available for spiritual enrichment. Books can be signed out and returned in two weeks. Open on Sunday mornings or by request.
First Friday Devotions and Eucharistic Adoration is on the first Friday of each month after 12:10 Mass and concluded with the 5:15 Liturgy.
Pre-Cana is a marriage preparation opportunity for engaged couples. Once a year, parishioners from the parish and the clergy offer this day at the Cathedral Center.
Vespers is prayed each Sunday of Advent and Lent at 4:00 PM. Vespers is the Evening Prayer of the Liturgy of the Hours and offers praise and glory to God. It is prayed by the clergy, religious, and laity throughout the world.
Stations of the Cross are prayed together during the Fridays of Lent at the Cathedral at 7:30 PM.
