I have owned horses for much of my life.  I am a country girl at heart.  This is where I belong.  I have owned miniature horses since Autumn '97, and bred my first in '01.  This is just the beginning of our story. This is how I became us!  While I knew it wasn't impossible I never quite pictured myself as the dating type.  I almost felt like I was bound to become a nun at the Monastery of St. Claire breeding miniature horses and dedicating my life to Jesus and prayer.  I love the country, the space, the freedom, the peace & quiet.  I am an introvert and didn't want myself to be seen, so I hid myself under a rock as much as possible.  While I could say I was perfectly happy just me and my horses it would be a lie, I was tired of being lonely.  God had more in mind! I met Rog in September '03 at none other than a bible study for college-aged young people.  He struck me as very handsome immediately but I was shy and never looked too close too long, but he sure did!  Because I attended this study with my older brother, Adam, Rog was disappointed that I was "taken".  Little did he know!  I missed the next week because I was doing landscaping work with my dad.  The week after he was surprised to see me and at that point he knew that the tough looking dude was my brother! To make a long story short my youthful innocence (hehe) must have appealed to him.  I wish I had some pictures of our courtship to share, but it went so quickly.  We put the "whirl" in whirlwind romance.  After four months of dating, Rog proposed to me on stage at a Shockwave (Christian hardcore music) show in front of hundreds on the eve of my birthday.  We married a month-and-a-half later at Rog's home church. (Almost 5 months after this I was "with child".  Almost need some ginger for the motion sickness (haha). Our wedding was small with some hitches (the bride was recovering from the intestinal flu) but was beautiful and unique.  The search for the perfect dress is usually the most major part, but a chain of David's Bridal was just built in our area and God put my dress in that store.  It was the only one of it's kind and size in the entire store and I was completely unable to find it online!
