Barefoot Minis Beautiful (pending) DOB 9-23-05 is our third pinto filly out of the Joe/Tori cross.  I never thought we would have a late Fall foal, but God definitely works in mysterious ways and this special delivery turned out to be a blessing in disguise.  Tori was bred for a June '05 foal, but unbeknownst to me had not settled.  In the meanwhile I had a very lonely stallion that was running himself skinny, so I decided to give him the companionship of his mare.  I wouldn't normally recommend placing one "so-called" pregnant broodmare with one stallion, but if anyone, Tori can hold her own.  One Sunday morning in October, Rog and I looked out the back door and saw Joe having some fun!  So of course I went out and separated the two and also fortunately had the sense to put the Oct. "indiscretion" on the breeding report. The blessing mentioned above is that almost five months into our marriage (October '04) I found myself feeling ill and crampy and discovered right away that I was going to have a baby the next June!  This would have placed the first breeding dates right on my due date!  With all that occurred during my pregnancy God had it planned so that I was able to get back to health before Tori delivered her filly, so that we could be present and in a good frame of mind for the delivery of this adorable filly.  Adorable she is.  Niobe will be the tallest, Jamie will be the smallest, and Beauty is smack dab in the middle for expected maturity.  She is minimally marked with just the right features.  It seems that she is "just right".  Not too tall or too small.  She is definitely the most proportionate and closest to the AMHA standard of the three homebred girls.
