GHOST DANCE - (Native American, late 1800s) the central ritual of a messianic religion began by WOVOKA, a Paiute, circa 1870 which quickly spread to most western tribes; performed by all members of the tribe to induce the opening of psychic skills; dancing is done in a circle to the rhythmic beat of a drum until tribal members achieve an ALTERED STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS and can communicate with etheric world intelligences (called ancestors); some are: 1. shown clairvoyant visions; 2. hypnotized for preparation for the medicine ma's healing energy; 3., put into a trance state to receive direct guidance, and counsel, through direct voice. Syn. TRIBAL DANCING, SUN-DANCE. [cf. WHIRLING DERVISHES, TRIBAL DANCING].

I mention this definition because of the little Indian step people do at "revival" meetings, though this does not quite describe that particular step.

GIDDINESS - (Old English gidig, "possessed by a god") a state of ecstasy; an emotional high; a feeling of being in paradise; usually influenced by a very advanced soul-mind or religious experience. [cf. PEAK EXPERIENCE].

Definitely a part of the Toronto manifestations.

GLAMOUR - (Scotland) to put an individual under a spell; see CASTING A SPELL.

I mention this here because of the next two definitions.

GLAMOURIE - an abnormal feeling of "being fixed and unable to move." even when the conscious mind is being manipulated by a GLAMOURIZER: begins when the eyes of the psychic penetrate a person's mind intensely with a state of fear or of extreme pleasure; victim stays in this state of glamourie consciousness until the psychic lets up on his or her constant concentration to manipulate the subject; distance no barrier; see SPELLED; Syn. GLAMOURED. [cf. SPELLED, TRAMS-FIXED, ON-THE-SPOT-HYPNOSIS].

Similar to being frozen in one position at Browne and "revival" meetings. Browne has demonstrated his power to make one section of an audience laugh and then stop at the wave of his arm.

GLAMOURIZER - a psychic who specializes in casting of spells; see SPELL CASTER. [cf. SPELL, PSYCHIC, HYPNOSIS].

GLORIA - 1. (Christian) a luminary drawn in pictures aro9und the head of highly evolved humans, usually religious figures; symbolizes the person's brilliance, understanding and extraordinary service to humankind; perceived clairvoyantly on these persons when alive; 2. (esoteric) the concentrated energy in the CROWN CHAKRA flowing from the top of the head of the enlightened soul-mind; occurs when one is on the final steps of ascension and working from the crown chakra level of consciousness. Syn. HALO, GLORY, PRANA HALO. [cf. AGLOW, GLORIFIED SOUL-MIND, GLORIFICATION].

An interesting definition which, when applied to the halo seen on the saints of the Catholic Church, gives one a little bit of understanding of the influence of occult powers at work in the Catholic tradition.

GOINMUI - (Celtic) 1. Divine warrior in the etheric world who is in charge of wars; 2. a divine blacksmith in the ehteric world who is in charge of blacksmiths. [cf. FIRE DOCTOR, CELESTIAL SMITHS, EXECUTIVE ORDER.]

War and warriors are not foreign to the Toronto Blessing. If investigated, this could be a good lead.

GOLEM - (Hebrew, "a robot brought to life through magic") discovered by Rabbi Yehudah Low; an artificial humanlike being created by carving wood, wax, clay, metal, or by sowing together pieces from dead bodies; given a personality by carving a sacred name into the forehead, and then infusing it psychically with concentrated thought energy and direction to do menial tasks for its master. [cf. ANDROID, ELEMENTAL, ZOMBIE.]

Sound familiar?: And the false prophet gave life to the image of the beast.

GREAT AWAKENING - (alchemy) the time when the alchemist accomplishes the transmutation of his or her internal organs Syn. IMMORTAL DRAUGHT, THE SUPREME BLISS. [cf. ASCENSION, QUINTESSENCE, BODILY FIRES].

More "revival," fire and immortality?

GREAT-GIFT WAVES - (Tibet) psychic energy sent telepathically from gurus, in the etheric and physical worlds, which stimulates the spiritual development of the aspirant who acknowledges and desires to follow the esoteric doctrines. [cf. HIDDEN DOOR, HOMING IN, GUIDE, ETHERIC LINK].

Much being said of "gifting" nowadays.

GROUP ELEMENTAL - a thought-form hovering over the heads of a gathering or an assembly; 1. thought-form is charged with a stimulus that causes mutual emotion between members and leader pulling them into unity of purpose; thought form intensifies in strength as the meeting lengthens if the "theme" is constantly being dwelled upon and directed toward one's emotional needs; everyone becomes emotionally linked into the vortex of the thought-form; . . . [definition shortened because of its great length] 4. formed by: (a) loud, rhythmical music; (b) monotone, tranquil, or concert music; (c) hand clapping, singing, chanting, shouting, body twisting, and; (d) cleverly planned ploy using repetitious statements to reinforce the theme; used advantageously or with evil intent; 5. e.g. mass healing gatherings, mass screaming at rock festivals, mass hypnotism in the destructive-brainwashing cults, unity of patriotism by army drills, the following of The Pied Piper of Hamlin. (Inconcl.) Syn. ARTIFICIAL ELEMENTAL. [cf. ELEMENTAL THOUGHT-FORMS, GROUP HYPNOSIS].

I always wondered why modern "revival" preachers had their audiences repeating what they say. It is absolutely rampant in today's preaching.

GROUP ENERGY - an energy field of strong psychic energy which flows fluently among a group whether willed or unwilled; 1. concentration of a group on particular activity accomplishes this activity more quickly than single concentration; 2. developing of psychic skills is easier in a group than by oneself; the question under investigation is whether this abundant psychic energy is dependent upon PSYCHIC ABILITY of the members or whether the strength depends upon the HARMONY of the members. [cf. GROUP ELEMENTAL, LAW OF THOUGHT Appendix 7].

"Group think" and the working of a very strong spirit posing as the Holy Spirit is evident in "revival" meetings.

GROUP HYPNOSIS - to induce a light, hypnotic state of consciousness in the majority of participants of a gathering wherein participants are not aware they are being hypnotized. 1. when a number of persons are gathered in unity of purpose, they can easily become hypnotized by an intense consistent concentration on the leader and what he or she is saying; the intense concentration quiets the conscious mind and allows the subconscious mind to absorb the material as it is presented without first sifting it out in the conscious mind; 2. induced by a leader with CHARISMA; the verbiage is carefully planned, and structured to touch one's emotional needs, and the pronoun you is emphasized and used repeatedly with a pointed finger at the group; music and chanting frequently aid in the inducement of the hypnotic stage; 3. almost all lectures and sermons, whether for good or evil intent, have a hypnotic effect; the larger the group and the longer the lecture with no break, the more easily the hypnotic state is accomplished without one realizing he or she is being hypnotized; if one can trust their leader and there is no need for decision-making regarding its contents, it is a good method to more easily remember what one heard. [cf. HYPNOSIS, ELEMENTAL, DESTRUCTIVE-BRAINWASHING CULT].

The unity aspect of this definition is what is making this "revival" so powerful and people so vulnerable to be deceived.
