Title:

Engineering Manager   (NO OPENING AT THIS TIME)

Educational Qualifications:

Minimum Associate Degree in Computer, Plastic or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in a high technology industry or manufacturing setting.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong communication, leadership and motivational skills.
  • Perform multiple tasks and prioritize workload and projects.
  • Knowledge of good and acceptable drafting practices and standards.
  • Background in high technology, plastics, manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Ability to work with customers to communicate technical ideas and visualize concepts.
  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills are a must.
  • Ability to learn new ideas and work with high technology software and the latest internet communications and E-commerce.

Desired skills:
(for ideal candidates)

  • Familiar with CAD solid modeling, 3D rendering or desk top publishing.
  • Any experience in plastic product design or sheet metal design.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Windows 98, MS office and Adobe products.
  • Knowledge in using the internet for communications and file transfer and understanding of E-commerce.
  • Experience in using a digital camera, web cam, scanner, plotter, and printers.
  • Ability making sketches and reading tooling drawings.

Certifications and Specialized training

 Certification with any MS Office products.

Responsibilities &
Job Functions

  • Supervise and manage a design team of professionals who have various levels of ability and technical experience.
  • Assist with documentation of on-going company design standards.
  • Direct the design and analysis discussions and assist the technical team with all issues.
  • Responsible for making sure that customer CAD drawings, 3D models, renderings and logos are up to date, accurate and of the highest quality.
  • Assist and drive the implementation of projects using state-of-the-art technology, equipment and software.
  • Work with sales department on technical brochures, 3D demo models, sample renderings, design logos for advertising, promotions, and potential customer presentations.
  • Responsible for working with the reverse engineering team and for documentation of new and existing projects.
  • Provide on-site design support as sometimes required by our customers.

  • Ability to manage a team of highly trained professionals in a friendly, cooperative environment.
