Educational Qualifications: |
Minimum Associate Degree in Plastic or Mechanical Engineering. |
|
Experience: |
Minimum of 7 years of experience in 3D mold design using a solids or surface CAD system. |
|
Essential Skills: |
- Ability in designing and detailing plastic injection molds.
- Experience required in using a 3D CAD design system such as Unigraphics Solid Edge
, Pro Engineer, SDRC, SolidWorks, Rhinoceros or Autocad 2006.
- Knowledge of good and acceptable drafting practices and standards
- Background in plastics or manufacturing
- Has good math and communication skills.

- Design experience using advanced solid modeling.
- Any experience in plastic part design and plastic materials.
- Experience in using Microsoft Windows XP.
- Knowledge in using the internet.

Certifications and Specialized training |
Certification with any MS Office products. |

Responsibilities & Job Functions |
- Design and detail plastic injection molds and tooling.
- Assist with documentation of on-going company design standards.
- Participate in design and analysis discussions and help the technical team with CAD documentation.
- Responsible for making sure that customer CAD drawings are up to date, accurate and of the highest quality.
- Post drawings and transfer files using our internet web site.
- Create 3D solid models for the web site designer. These will be used
for advertising, promotions, animations and logos.
- Responsible for working with the reverse engineering team as well as other mold designers for documentation of new and existing projects.
- Provide on-site design support as sometimes required by our customers.
