CHICKEN
At Brookhaven, we raise our poultry on pasture, the natural way. Our chickens spend their lives in fresh air, sunshine and fresh grass. This eliminates the need for antibiotics. We also process by hand and chill our birds in fresh well water. This eliminates the contamination problems you experience with factory processed chicken.
Chicks are started several times each summer. We raise Cornish cross chickens who grow fast and produce a meaty, great tasting bird.
Processing dates are usually in June and August. Orders can be placed at any time. Large numbers should be ordered early, so that we can raise enough birds to meet your needs. If you desire fresh, not frozen, please let us know. We will inform you of the processing date and pickup time.
