Department Committee is responsible for publishing to the department members the additional criteria for promotion.

By October 7

Department Committee shall hold an organizational meeting

 

 

By November 1

Faculty members shall make application to the Department Chairperson of who shall notify the Department Committee

By October 15

Department submits supplemental adaptive criteria, if required, for approval to local and statewide Meet and Discuss

 

By December 1

Department Committee submits seven (7) copies of applications and detailed recommendations together with a full list of applicants to University-wide Committee, and one (1) copy of each to the President or his/her designee.

 

Each applicant is responsible to check with the Department Chairperson to ensure that appropriate materials have been submitted to the University-wide Committee and the University President

 

By December 9

If the Department Committee or Department Chairperson fail to submit a recommendation, application, or supporting materials, the applicant may submit the materials listed in 4A and/or 4B of the Promotions Guidelines to the University-wide Committee or University President.

The University-wide Committee shall list in order of merit all of the candidates for each rank and submit the full list to the President or his/her designee.

 

By November 1

Faculty submits application to Department Chairperson

 

 

 

 

 

June – July

The President or his/her designee could have a meeting with the University-wide Committee

By December 1

Department Committee submits seven (7) copies of applications and detailed recommendations together with a full list of applicants to University-wide Committee, and one (1) copy of each to the President or his/her designee.

 

July 15

President must inform the applicants of his/her decision.

University-wide Committee forwards one (1) copy of the application with proposal and evaluative statement to the Faculty Relations Office.

University-wide Sabbatical Committee forwards ranked list in priority order to the University President with a copy to the APSCUF President

Sabbatical Applicant submits seven (7) copies of the application with proposal to the Department Committee, and two (2) copies of the application with proposal to the Department Chairperson.

University-wide Committee and University President meet to discuss rankings/awards.

By November 1

Department Committee forwards seven (7) copies of the application with proposal and seven (7) copies of their evaluative statement to the University-Wide Committee.

 

The Department Chairperson forwards one (1) copy of the application with proposal and evaluative statement to the University President’s Office and one (1) copy of the application with proposal and evaluative statement to the University-wide Committee.

 

By March 1

University President will announce initial Sabbatical Leaves to the faculty applicant with a copy to the APSCUF President.

 

By April 15

University President will announce complete complement of Sabbatical Leaves to the faculty applicant with a copy to the APSCUF President.
