"The Conductor's Club"

Conductor Bruce Morton Wright has established "Conductor's Club" in many of theCity of Erie's local schools. Mr. Wright has always been involved in music education and makes it a point of going to schools and speaking with students about music and conducting. Mr. Wright always takes an instrument with him to explain the principles of music and sound production. He also teaches the student how to conduct and  encourages them to attend the next up-coming concert. His intend is to encourage students to gain an appreciation of music through understanding the elements of music."The Conductor's Club" has become a very popular function of the Erie Chamber Orchestra, with presentations requested by a number of schools as part of the arts program.

There is "no charge" for Mr. Wright's presentation, however, his availability is depend on the Erie Chamber Orchestra schedule. If you would like to have Mr. Bruce Morton Wright at your school, please call him at Gannon University (814) 871-7755

"Student Opera Production"

This is the 2003 Rice Middle School’s of Girard, Pennsylvania, (ROPE)

 “Rice Opera Production Ensemble.”

This is the 2002 Rice Middle School’s of Girard, Pennsylvania, (ROPE)

 “Rice Opera Production Ensemble.”

Mr. Wright had the honor of speaking with this organization about their up-coming opera production. Faculty advisors for  ROPE are Jean Verdecchia and Ann Sawin. Both of these instructors spent the past summer's working with members of the New York Metropolitan Opera Company in preparation for this year’s performance.

On March 18, 2000, Bruce Morton Wright served as "Guest Conductor" for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association “Regional Orchestra.” This concert was held at Fairview High School in Fairview, Pennsylvania.
 
 
 
 

On March 13, 2001, Bruce Morton Wright served as "Guest Conductor" for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association “Songfest lll and lV" for fourth, fifth and six graders This concert was held at Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy/ 2825 State Street/  in Erie, Pennsylvania
